As a journalist, Don Jordan has written his weekly newspaper outdoors column, ‘Inside Outdoors‘, since 1973 when he worked for the now-defunct Bloomington/Indianapolis Courier-Tribune. His column has appeared in many other newspapers since 1975. He has been an active member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America since 1973.
Jordan served as a corresponding editor of Environment magazine and has written for a wide variety of outdoor, sports and environmental publications. He has received reporting awards from the Audubon Society, the Izaak Walton League and United Press International. He was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in 1976 for his investigative reporting on an environmental disaster with PCB’s discharged in Bloomington, Ind., by Westinghouse Electric Corp. As an educator, Jordan taught journalism and anthropology at Indiana University and the University of Wisconsin at Superior, and was a faculty member at Indiana University’s College For Gifted and Talented Children. Don now co-hosts a broadcast version of his column, Inside Outdoors Radio, on WFHB in Bloomington, Indiana, and available Saturday mornings at 7am EST locally broadcast or streaming live at WFHB.ORG.

Don Jordan is a Vietnam vet. He served with the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and the 173rd Airborne Brigade as an infantry lieutenant and commander of the 46th Public Information Detachment at Bong Son in 1970. He received the Bronze Star and Army Commendation medals.

 

 

‘Buddy Bill’ Moser is a local angler,hunter and outdoorsman, who was the proprietor of ‘Buddy Bill’s Bait Barn’ for many years, a staple bait shop for beautiful Lake Monroe in Southern Indiana. Bill served as County Commissioner for Bloomington, In. ’64 – ’68, was President of County Commissioners, President of the Monroe County School Board, Secretary Treasurer of the Indiana Commissioners Association, Aviation Board Member at the Monroe County Airport ’65, Member Monroe County Planning Commission, and President of the Monroe County Board of Appeals. He was also a dairy farmer, and has a deep abiding love and respect for the natural environment.Buddy Bill has worked for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Dept. of Highways, and even was a school bus driver. Bill’s experience with hunting and fishing is a lifelong, and his knowledge of the area is acute. He is well known by just about everyone, and goes to Wyoming often to hunt deer, elk, and antelope as well as fish. Buddy Bill has given his “Lake report” on the radio for many years, starting on WFHB community radio, and eventually hosting “Outdoors Today” for seventeen years in Bloomington, Indiana.

Rich Reardin is a professional radio producer, copywriter, professional audio book narrator, audio engineer, musician, composer, photographer/videographer, web designer, podcaster, and has owned and built 4 recording studios in his career spanning 5 decades.  His first recording studio was called ‘Real to Reels Recording’ in Bloomington, Indiana, which morphed into ‘Southern Indiana Video Corporation’, adding video, audio bed composition, and comercial spot production during the advent of the MTV era in the late 1980’s.  He then helped design and build ‘Saturn Productions’ with partner Dave Gordon in Chicago, Illinois, and also worked as the Pro Audio Manager for Guitar Center in Chicago, where he co-designed ‘Sound Center’, a full functioning demo recording studio and soundstage, also in Chicago. Moving on to Oakland, California, he worked for Leo’s Professional Audio as the customer service manager.  Eventually working in San Francisco as audio and instrument rental stage manager for Pro Piano SF, serving clients such as Elton John, The Grateful Dead, Neil Young, Metallica, The Yellow Jackets, Boz Scaggs, Little Richard, Santana, James Brown, and many others including the University of California Berkeley, Fantasy Recording Studios, Skywalker Ranch Recording Studio, and Bill Graham Presents.  Moving back to the midwest, he became a radio producer, with 11 successful news/talk radio shows to his credit, including ‘Inside Outdoors’. He currently runs his own studio called (Cr2)3 Media / Reel to Real Recordings in Bloomington, Indiana, and also has a record label called ‘Deep Dog Records’, with (currently) six of his personal records published on Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, Google music, etc., works as a narrator for audio books for ACX (Amazon), and is a PRX (Public Radio Exchange) producer.  He is also the Agency Director of Seccom International Group, LLC, which specialize in networking and construction in the US, Africa and the Caribbean Basin. Rich has also produced a longtime national radio show originally called ‘In Search of a Song’ with Jason Wilber (John Prine’s longtime lead guitarist), now called ‘Beyond a Song’, published weekly since 2005 on PRX (Public Radio Exchange) and locally on WFHB in Bloomington, Indiana.
